If your child has been in the 0-2’s room then they will have already had visits in the 2-3’s room, meeting staff and mixing with new friends and enjoying new experiences!
Music and movement is introduced in this room helping to develop their language and social skills. Some of the older children will have opportunities to learn basic computer skills, making full use of educational software.
As well as messy and creative play all the children will enjoy several different types of cooking activities under the supervision of staff.
There is a quiet area for reading, completing floor puzzles and watching educational television.
Physical and creative development is further encouraged in the outside play area where there is a full range of activities where children are able to express themselves freely and let off some energy!
When you feel your child is ready for toilet training then please liase with your keyworker in order to allow your child to progress at their own speed to prevent any stressful experiences.
Again, to make the transition as smooth as possible, children will enjoy visits to the 3-5’s room around their third birthday to meet the staff and their new friends.
